What can one expect in a stroke rehabilitation program?

Based on local hospital stays, a stroke patient will have daily therapy sessions, a phone call will be made to their family members to discuss about the problems the stroke patient inhibits, housing modifications, safety issues and leisure alternatives will be discussed at length. Their progress will be monitored during their rehab period. Once they are discharge, outpatient therapy at an appropriate facility will also be considered and a hospital staff will contact the homes of the stroke patient for medication or progress follow-ups. Nutrition advice will also be dispensed if necessary.

Some of the stroke rehab programs that one can expect will be therapy for communication disorders, mobility training, strengthening motor skills to improve muscle strength and coordination, phycological evaluation and more.
