Idaho is in the northwestern United States. It became a state on July 3, 1890. Making it became the 43rd US state.
It’s the 14th largest of the U.S. states. Idaho is also the 12th least populous.
That is part of the reason it is known for its potatoes, scenic mountain landscapes, miles of protected wilderness, and outdoor recreation areas.
Idaho also has an impressive network of dams on the Columbia and Snake rivers. In fact, this network of dams and locks make Idaho the most inland port on the west coast of the United States of America.
