Colorado became a state on August 1, 1876 so it has the nickname, “Centennial State”. The state of Colorado is known for its diverse landscape. It has everything from arid deserts to great river canyons and the famous Rocky Mountains. The Rocky Mountains are so high they’re covered in snow. Therefore, you have a desert and snow in the same state. Millions of people visit the Rocky Mountain National Park every year.
Colorado also has the world’s deepest hot springs so a lot of people love to visit every year.
