  • People take jabs about my personality, posting habits, and many other things on a daily basis.

    People will criticize the way you speak, dress, and think without remorse. They’ll criticize your character and personal boundaries.

    I have critics saying hello on a daily basis.

    You know what all these people have in common?

    None of them pay my bills, make me breakfast, or stare back at me when I look in the mirror. Their opinions also don’t affect my life or way of thinking in any way, shape, or form.

    We will all get critics from time to time. The more you put yourself out there the more people will attack you.

    These people really won’t have any power unless you give it to them. Don’t give critics power.

    Life is chaotic and the truth is none of us have it all figured out.

    Keep your eyes, ears, and mind open at all times. Take it all in with a grain of salt and focus on growth. I’m talking about personal growth. Don’t worry about your following. That will come if you put in the work.

    None of us are perfect, but there are plenty of us that follow the golden rule and strive to help others enjoy the ride on this rock as much as possible.

    Don’t apologize for being outspoken or sticking to your guns on certain things. Just be nice and follow the golden rule.

    You’ll be OK.

  • Resources for where to get content ideas for your brand and audience….

    Today, I will be sharing Resources for where to get content ideas for your brand and audience….

    For myself, I don’t have any trouble coming up with new ideas and content and by using the following resources, the ideas are plentiful.

    1 – Use data and analytics. Look at your social & website analytics at what people are looking for, searching or and engaging with.

    2 – Relevant trending topics – set up Google alerts and check the trending social items that are relevant for you to talk about

    3 – News feeds – I love using Feedly on my phone to set up news channels for my interest.

    4 – Talk to your audience and customers to ask them what content they want and what problems they have.  This can be in social, survey or email.

    5 – Talk to your team that talks to your customers each day. What are the issues and problems they are dealing with the most.

    6 – Repurpose old content to bring new life back and make any changes.

    7 – Take part in Twitter Chats, Facebook Groups or LinkedIn Groups that are relevant to your industry.

    There are many resources at your disposal. Learn how to take advantage of them.
