The higher the number, the greater the impact, and in turn, the more successful a post is, right?
While this sounds good, it isn’t necessarily true.
When a job seeker shares a post, their objective in most cases is to shine a positive light on themselves to help them land their next opportunity.
Sometimes, the support received on these post types is overwhelmingly excellent.
In those cases, there are lots of reactions and many impressions.
Be mindful, though, as even with lots of reactions, success doesn’t always come from those posts.
On the other hand, another job seeker may put out a post that gets just a few reactions.
However, that post may reach a hiring team member from their target audience or someone connected to them, and therefore, help open the door to their next opportunity.
Bottom line?
Don’t be fooled by the number of reactions a post gets.
You never know which post will help open the door you are meant to walk through; the one with a few or many reactions.
