Years ago, a job seeker was invited to an interview and attended it. Let’s call him James.
James arrived on time for his interview, greeted the interviewer properly, and the interview started off well.
However, in the middle of the interview, things took a turn for the worse when James started to feel sleepy.
It got to a point where the interviewer would ask him questions, and he would answer, but blurt out whatever made sense to him at that moment.
James found a way to get himself together, but according to his account, the interviewer didn’t seem impressed with his performance.
Unfortunately, James did not hear back from that company.
It was a shame because he was highly recommended by a former colleague who was a current employee at the company.
Why did this happen? James didn’t get enough rest the night before. Nothing important kept him up that night, and he thought he would do a good job without adequate rest.
While he was prepared for the interview, his decision to forgo rest cost him the opportunity.
Can you relate to James and his experience? Learn from his mistake and make sure you don’t make the same decision he did.
Remember to get enough rest the night before an interview so you can be alert and give coherent answers to your interviewer’s questions.
