Has your company grown up?
Most children are selfish – they can only focus on their own needs and wants. If they are lucky, they learn empathy as they grow up; and with it they gain the strength, joy and rewards that come from doing good for others.
So, restating the question – Has your company advanced to where it is doing the Right Thing – ie, actively operating in a verifiable way that is broader than its own self-interest?
If so, has this led to a Good Thing – ie, lower costs, enhanced employee retention, greater brand competitive differentiation, greater sales, improved valuation?
If not, other than your leadership choices, why not?
