    That is fine but you are missing the power of social in building that long-term customer loyalty.

    Your audience is not static and they have content and brand expectations.

    Create content that is relevant to the audience and personas you have identified.

    The following are all activities that should be part of your everyday social presence that help build long term loyalty.

    Listen, engage with your audience, provide value, be consistent, build community, have a two-way relationship, reward feedback and look at your social audiences as real-time focus groups always giving you feedback.

  • Resources for where to get content ideas for your brand and audience….

    Today, I will be sharing Resources for where to get content ideas for your brand and audience….

    For myself, I don’t have any trouble coming up with new ideas and content and by using the following resources, the ideas are plentiful.

    1 – Use data and analytics. Look at your social & website analytics at what people are looking for, searching or and engaging with.

    2 – Relevant trending topics – set up Google alerts and check the trending social items that are relevant for you to talk about

    3 – News feeds – I love using Feedly on my phone to set up news channels for my interest.

    4 – Talk to your audience and customers to ask them what content they want and what problems they have.  This can be in social, survey or email.

    5 – Talk to your team that talks to your customers each day. What are the issues and problems they are dealing with the most.

    6 – Repurpose old content to bring new life back and make any changes.

    7 – Take part in Twitter Chats, Facebook Groups or LinkedIn Groups that are relevant to your industry.

    There are many resources at your disposal. Learn how to take advantage of them.

    Last week, I outlined 6 ways to rewarding and keeping your employees, direct reports or anyone that you work with happy and should be a priority for yourself or your leadership teams. It doesn’t matter what you build, what you sell or even provide to customers, you can’t do it without the people that work for you.

    I have built on those six and added seven more – some of these are great for the COVID environment we are in to help break things up and reward in different ways. These are things you can do to reward your employees without hurting the bottom line, but keeping your team happy.

    Flex Hours

    Be flexible with work hours when things come up such as a doctors appointment or a kids lunch at school. So jobs do require that your employees are there at certain times, but it is ok to be flexible with hours with important life opportunities outside work.
