It came in as a lead this morning…. and this is what it said.
“These are my parents small collection. I’d just like to give these to anyone, rather than throw them in the garbage.”
I’ve always appreciated the stories behind pins, but this was a new one for me. I can only imagine the emotional experience for this person. Can you see him sorting through his parents belongings remembering.
Many of us have already lost parents or will at some point and this might someday be us.
As I expanded the picture to see the details of each pin, I realized this small collection of pins is a history of 2 people. So much can be learned from a simple pin.
Education was important
They were Christian and Methodist
Writing was important
They were achievers
They lived in the 60-70’s
They were active in their community
They were patriotic
They were members of clubs like the Boys & Girls club.
They were from Wisconsin
