The Wailers – Three Little Birds / One Love (Live at Boomtown Fair 2014)
Legendary Reggae group, The Wailers open up our Lion’s Den stage at Boomtown Fair 2014.
A world of unity, creativity & freedom, Boomtown Fair is a five day festival set in the Matterley bowl in Hampshire, UK on the second weekend of August. Now heading into its 10th chapter, Boomtown fuses a diverse line-up of underground and global music with boundary pushing immersive art, theatre and performance coming together as a living, breathing, fictitious city.
Made up of 14 districts, 6 of which are fully immersive and theatrical, Boomtown follows a storyline that evolves each year to create a world within a world. A theatrically-led experience like no other, the event’s hundreds of actors bring the film-like street sets to life where attendees (citizens) are encouraged to become their inner character and be a part of the story themselves…
Boomtown remains a proudly independent festival that has managed to keep a sense of community and unity despite being one of the fastest growing festivals on the the circuit. Citizens travel from across the globe to experience one of the most diverse line-ups and most groundbreaking theatrical concepts on offer, collectively celebrating underground music in a totally immersive world.

Remarkably, we are at the first point in human history where distance is completely irrelevant — so now you have the opportunity to create exciting “festivals” for your global audience. No travel required. Work outside your typical 10km bubble that most businesses work in. Work physically within the global confines of COVID, yet intellectually it is boundless.

I just posted a poll on Linkedin that I am genuinely interested in – if you have a minute perhaps you could add your 2 cents?

Receiving a “No” is not the end, but gives you 2 roads to travel. Road 1 is to abandon and start anew, and Road 2 is to perfect and resurface.
Don’t waste time attempting to perfect that which should be abandoned!
Have you ever gotten lost? Know what it is to travel a long way and realize you are going in circles? Familiar with the frustration?

In the same manner must we carry a source of light on our journey to monitor our surroundings and make our path visible. Sometimes, the roads we travel can get really dark!
